This is a systematic exposition of the Tridentine Creed, the confession of faith required of Catholic clergy by the Papal Bull of Pius IV in 1565 following the last session of the Council of Trent in 1563. Pius V, his successor approved this text. The first section articulates a detailed conception of the Nicene Creed, The second long section is on the Sacraments, the third section on the proper understanding of the Decalogue, and the fourth on Pastoral preaching. Although this edition is not listed in WorldCat, there are, after the 1566 Aldine edition at least two other editions befor 1572, and several other 16th century printings.
