Pages edge-tanned, though remain fairly bright. Pages 94-95 have scuffs that encompass the entirety of their lower edge; lightly affects last lines of text. Lovely inscription to front endpaper. Plates capture the architecture, carvings and building. Good (spine lean; textblock & pgs firm, intact. boards scuffed, smudged & darkened; rubbing to edges. corners rubbed. spine top erroded & rubbed, frayed; closed tear to lower. front hinge split, cracked at lower edge; binding joints intact, board rattled.).
