A collection of essays and articles written for various magazines, musing on a variety of subjects, including: mountain musings; my first visit to Brussels; the Caves of Groenendael, an episode of Waterloo; and the curate confessor of Viroflay- a real ghost story. Thomas Colley Grattan was an Irish writer, spending some time in the US and earning acclaim for his work. FAIR/GOOD condition. Large faded owner's signature across the front page. Minor to moderate soiling, with scattered dampstaining throughout. Extremities creased, torn and worn, with some chips missing. Scattered foxing in the interior.
