Brazier, Assistant Professor. Dr. Thomas Clark (1801-1867, Dictionary of National Biography, Vol. 10) developed useful analytical techniques. Brazier ((1825)-1889), assistant to Clark, then assistant to Andrew Fyfe and succeeded Fyfe as Professor at University of Aberdeen. Davidson took James Clerk Maxwells course in Natural Philosophy (1858-9) while a student at Marischal College (1857-1860). His student notebook from this course (he received a second-class merit from Professor Maxwell) is in the Cambridge University Library.
