Inhaltsangabe: Can a new Christian stay true to her faith in the world of Greek fraternity and sorority rituals, secrets, parties, and high-profile, high-fashion showmanship? Cheryl Fields and Mike Johnson are the most popular Delta and Kappa on campus. Their rock-solid romance and chemistry are the envy of admirer and enemy alike.
Mike and Cheryl's passionate love lasts freshman to senior year. When Perry, a young, charismatic Christian leads Cheryl to faith in Christ, Cheryl's new views on sex, marriage, and Perry drive a wedge between Cheryl and Mike. When Perry decides to pledge, Cheryl agrees to help him survive the Kappa's notoriously violent pledge program.
Perry's Bible studies have led Cheryl to understand God's love for his daughters and to question the way men and women treat one another. As her faith deepens, Cheryl becomes determined to do things God's way, still holding to her dream of marrying the man she loves.
Cheryl decides to help Perry, even infiltrating the Kappa's sacred pledge session. Cheryl is certain Perry and his Line brothers will be seriously hurt or worse when they are kidnapped because of Cheryl's fight with Mike. She goes through extreme measures to save Perry and his Line brothers before they fall into the clutches of Kappa's most feared hazers: "The Beasts."
In the end, the one enemy Cheryl never suspected is determined to forever hide the secret she uncovers.
This is the story of Cheryl Fields, a student who learned early on that the secret world of Greek sororities and fraternities is a mystical, wonderful and sometimes deadly source of family.
Cheryl falls in love with Mike Johnson as she helps him pledge a fraternity during Cheryl's freshman year. Cheryl takes up the charge and joins one of the largest Black Greek sororities in the country. Their happiness is shattered when Mike's fraternity has to take the fall for being caught hazing pledges. Cheryl and Mike are hit hardest.
Their senior year, Cheryl notices a young man. He has something, a regal quality. Cheryl becomes more and more able to fill the void left by her absent father with the stories this young man tells of a heavenly father who sees women not as hoes, playthings or something to be tossed aside once a man has his pride fulfilled. Cheryl and her girls have had enough of that.
The young man convinces Cheryl God sees her and her sisters as queens. When this young man leads Cheryl to the Lord and decides to pledge Mike's fraternity, known by the campus chapters nickname, "The Beast of the East," Cheryl has to keep her two loves apart.
