Conversation around the table was usually in Italian, her first language but peppered with a variety of other languages as 'only that word would do'. Sometimes Greek, Maltese and Arabic words would take the stage!Her love of words and their sonority led to studies in Linguistics, Italian, French and Spanish. Jennifer has worked as an interpreter, translator and teacher. Jennifer has travelled extensively and still enjoys listening to story told in its native language.Chickaboo is Jennifer's first published work. Jennifer lives in Melbourne, in a leafy suburb and writes to the music of many cockatoos and her neighbour's chickens.
