A puzzle for children that seems to depict the battle between the Japanese fleet and the Russian Baltic fleet in the 1905 Battle of Tsushima. Japan was delighted to have won the naval battle with Russia, a great western nation, and many souvenirs were produced, but puzzles are rare. Each piece of the puzzle has a part of a chromolithographic illustration pasted onto it, and a carved and painted number on the lower side. Original wooden puzzle, in original box.
