Über den Autor: Marty Loy, PhD, is a professor of Health Promotion and serves as the Associate Dean and Chair of the School of Health Promotion ad Human Development at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. The school offers undergraduate degree programs in Health Promotion, Dietetics, and Family and Consumer Sciences; and graduate degrees in Human and Community Resources, and Nutritional Sciences. His teaching and research expertise areas are in teaching and learning, stress management, and childhood grief and loss. He has published extensively in these areas. Marty won the University Excellence in Teaching Award in 2001. He currently serves as the President for the Board of Directors, National Wellness Institute. Marty and his wife, Becky Lou, founded Camp Hope in 1986, a camp for grieving children. Becky is the president and camp director. Camp Hope has served as a model for similar camps nationally. The Loy's were one of three national recipients of the 2007 Champions of Children Award, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, which recognized their work with grieving children. The Loy's enjoy time with their four children.
