This is an 18th century rebind of a possibly earlier edition of Cicero's orations. It lacks title page and half-title, perhaps a page or two of a preliminary address 'ad lectorem'. It begins with a brief life of Cicero - xxx (30) pages, followed by the orations (536pp) and the index, unpaginated but complete. The outer leaves show signs of damage, consistent with having been disbound for a considerable time. There are inkstains on some pages of the index. The book was rebound in the mid-18th century, and is signed Tho. Moore (the book came from the library of Richard Moore, an 18th Century Irish gentleman. Binding leather is much scuffed, but the binding and text block is surprisingly quite clean and sound, apart from the damage to the index. The entire text, including notes, is in Latin.
