With a proof copper engraved portrait, additional wood-engraved title page on india paper & 24 mounted vignette wood engravings after designs by John Thurston, all on india paper, plus a number of tailpieces on wood also designed by Thurston. The opening 18pp. of preliminary leaves red bordered, the remainer of the volume with black geometrical design decorative borders. Bound in contemporary diced calf, the spine, which is very lightly faded, in six panels, gilt, with label.
