Original green cloth with decorated backstrip and front cover, backstrip titled in gilt and front cover in black. Backstrip decoration a little faded. Rear hinge a little rubbed, front hinge slightly so. Front cover with two closely-spaced little spot-stains, rear with a few closely-spaced moderately-sized patches a little darkened. Tips of lower outer corners of covers a little bumped, tips of upper outer corners a little curled. No dust jacket. Endpapers split along hinges, webbing visible at front.
