Text is in Turkish only. The primary components of this collection of weird, crude and often perverse Turkish-language underground comic art are the two batches of comic books, entitled "Manyak Toynak" (12 issues, about 65 pages each, including one duplicate issue plus two additional issues without covers and a loose front cover that might go with one of them, 11 1/4 x 7 15/16 inches, 2001-2006) and "Lombak" (11 issues, about 65 pages each, with one duplicate issue, 11 1/4 x ca. 7 7/8 inches, 2001-2007). The lot also includes two smaller comic books entitled, "Kemik" (associated with "Lombak") -- a single comic entitled "Patatez" -- an 11 3/8 x 8 1/4 inch comic book (63 p., with a glossy binding) associated with "Manyak" entitled "Kotu Kedi Serafettin" (whose cover pictures a maniacal male cat roughly fornicating doggy style with a slutty looking female cat, who is thoroughly enjoying it) -- another large comic, "Atom" (published 2000), whose cover pictures a grotesque hermaphrodite, a particularly violent and sexual issue -- a large volume of "Haftalik Penguen" (no. 326-338 bound together; 2008-2009; 13 x 10 11/16 inches; ca. 100+ pages?] -- and "Lombak: Paso Lezzet" by S. & B. Harmani, the only octavo book in the lot. Finally, the collection also includes a large number of newspaper-like comic-art issues (about 16 pages each) variously entitled Haftalik Penguen; Le Man; Uykusuz; Fermuar; Girgir; Firt; and Hibir. While most of the latter, short newspaper-type publications are complete, we have also included many loose issues that are either incomplete or that can be put together properly by an ambitious buyer. Overall, the volumes in this large lot have wear, and a few have sparse writing and/or a stain here and there. One of the most unusual collections we have ever seen, ideal for an academic library that collects international underground comic art. Large, heavy lot, which would cost an exorbitant amount to ship outside the United States. [fr rm]. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 201393
