Hardcover The binding is red ; the title is on the leather spine in gilt with raised bands. The corners are lightly bumped with shelf wear; all three edges are beautifully marbled. The endpaper are aged and have a former owners book plate; the hinge has cracked but, is holding just fine. The frontispiece "Portrait of Walton" still has the tissue attached. There are 203 wood engravings and 26 total steel engravings including the frontispiece. The interior is a little aged, but still very bright. 496pp. which includes the index.
