Clean and tidy throughout and, above all, firm. Black and white illustrations, includdding tissue protected portrait of author as frontis. It must be in the running for the longest title for a book, but it says it all! Francatelli was 'Pupil of the Celebrated Careme,Seen Years Chef Du Cuisine to the Reform Club, and late Maitre-D'Hotel and Chief Cook to Her Majesty The Queen'. Unstated, but obviously early edition - 'Thirty-Fifth Thousand'. 524 pages, plus13 pages of 'Francatelli's Cook's Guide Advertiser' advertisements and 3 pages of publisher's advertisements at rear.
