Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: EDWARD OTT is Professor of Electrical Engineering and Physics at the University of Maryland. He received his PhD in electrophysics from Polytechnic University in 1967. He is the author of Chaos in Dynamical Systems. TIM SAUER is Associate Professor of Mathematics at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, and has also taught mathematics at Michigan State University. He received his PhD from the University of California at Berkeley in 1982. JAMES A. YORKE is Professor of Mathematics and Director of the Institute of Physical Science and Technology at the University of Maryland, where he received his PhD in mathematics in 1966.
