Schreiber., Esslingen bei Stuttgart., 1888. According to Hildegard Krahe, this book was created by Paul Hermann Wagner for J.F. Schreiber in 1888. Antique biblical pop-up book ca. 1888. The book is made of three hard card board cover panels with bright chromolithograph die-cut pop-up pieces. Very detailed illustrations. The cover lithographs are beautifully detailed with one small scratch on front cover and light wear to edges and corners. The inside pieces are in good condition, one piece missing on first panel, some glue remnants, otherwise, a good or better copy of an early children s book. Overall, a good or better copy of The Crib. Measures approx. 11" x 13.5". Antique triptyck pop up book c1888. The book is made of three hard carboard cover panels with bright chromolithograph die cut pop up pieces. Very detailed illustrations. The cover art is in good condition, there is fading and wear to the cover, cover edges and corners. The scene is able to pop up and stand up when leaning against a wall (see photos). There is some minor wear and imperfections . As is. The size of the book when closed is approx. 11" x 13.5", approx. 14" x 30" when open. 14" x 30" when open. Scarce in English.
