ca. 1958. Hardcover, red cloth. Near fine condition in vg dj. Dust jacket very lightly edgeworn, with half-inch chip at foot of spine. Dj now in removable protective mylar wrapper. Unlike later printings, the contents of this copy printed lithographically. Covers and contents crisp, clean, no marking or writing, no previous owner s notation. Binding sturdy and tight. Price of $3.25 on front flap, and four other Curious George books listed on the rear end flap: Curious George Takes a Job, Curious George Rides a Bike, Curious George Gets a Medal, and Curious George Flies a Kite. This last title was first published in 1958, and the next in the series, Curious George Learns the Alphabet (not included on the rear flap titles) was published in 1963.
