The Current Everyone Followed is a beautifully illustrated children’s story about wisdom, courage, and learning to think before simply following the crowd.

Every morning, the fish of the reef follow the same familiar current. It has always carried them safely where they need to go—until one powerful storm changes the sea.

While everyone else continues forward as usual, one little fish begins to notice that something is different. He asks questions, watches carefully, and eventually discovers that the current is leading the school toward danger.

But seeing the truth is only the beginning. Now he must find the courage to step out of the flow, warn the others, and help them learn an important lesson:

Just because everyone is going the same way does not mean they are going the right way.

A gentle, thoughtful story for children about discernment, courage, community, and the wisdom of considering where a path leads before following it.

Inspired by Proverbs 4:26:

“Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.”
