Your order will always be shipped with tracking: you will always receive an AUTOMATIC EMAIL WITH TRACK-AND-TRACE as soon as the courier has registered your parcel. Prepayment is not required for libraries, institutions and fellow booksellers. The shipping costs as stated on Abebooks are based on parcels that weigh less than 2 kilos (book and packaging material) or less than 1 kilo for shipments to some distant countries like New-Zealand, Australia, Japan, .... If the parcel exceeds this weight, an increase in the shipping cost can be proposed. The buyer always has the chance to refuse the extra shipping costs. To be clear: the shipping costs are only charged at the actual cost price (as charged by the courier service). Orders are shipped within 2 business days of payment.
