This card was designed to be displayed in a retail setting to promote the "A1 Sunbonnet Babies" line which Dean's launched in 1924. Pictorial showcard die-cut along the top edge, with decoration and lettering printed in dark brown on a medium weight light brown cardstock with two gently bumped corners for what is a lovely example of this early 20th century marketing item. This was the actual showcard reproduced on p. 214 of Peter and Dawn Cope's book, Dean's Rag Books and Rag Dolls; from Dean's archives. The condition of the showcard is NEAR FINE. RARE.
