First Canadian edition. Tall 8vo., orig. plum/brown cloth, with yellow e/papers, 281pp. double columns, and 3 blank leaves. Bookplate, spine somewhat faded with some light wear to the corners, there is mottling to the the spine and boards which also has a stain but this is still a very good copy. This copy is not bound from the parts with the points noted by Baker: 3 blank leaves following S5, no weakfont R in Romola on the titlepage, the title-page meaures 23.3cms and the volume bulks to 2 cm.
