A scarce satirical work from the Times newspaper, illustrated throughout with colour plates. The second edition of this scarce work in a quarter cloth binding with pictorial boards. Illustrated with fourteen colour illustrations; one of which is to the front board, the other thirteen of which are plates. Collated, complete. A humourous piece regarding military uniform, taken from The Times newspaper, in which it was published on 26th May, 1849. This scarce and entertaining work was written by Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hort. In a quarter cloth binding with pictorial boards. Externally sound, with losses to the paper to the extremities of the front board, and to the cloth to the head and tail of the backstrip. Cloth is splitting to the joints. Front hinge is tender, and coming loose to the head, but is held by cords. Page 5 is coming loose, but otherwise, internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd handling mark. 14cm tear to the first page, not obscuring the text. 11cm tear to page 8. Good. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 885M4
