The Day of Reckoning©
Have you ever wondered what happens when two people finally get their desires met?
Well, this is their Story.
Their journey began several years ago when Nicholas, a well-to-do Corporate Executive, met Samantha, a young, independent Spirit. When the two met, it was definitely lust at first sight. Although Nicholas was married, Samantha tried to keep the relationship strictly professional. However, each time she would see him, she would focus on those seductive light-brown eyes and his luscious, soft lips, and thought, "I wonder if there was anything else luscious besides his lips."
She first got the opportunity to try those lips during a warm, August night. They had just attended a party and Nicholas, being the Gentleman that he was, walked to her car. As Samantha and Nicholas are walking, he happens to notice an Angel Tattoo in a significant place on her left bosom. Throughout the party, Samantha flirts with Nicholas really heavy, and he doesn't respond—much to her chagrin; but this time, they were alone.
Samantha, being the bold, aggressive type, asks, "Do you see something you like? If so, then you need to take action." And, boy did Nicholas ever! He takes Samantha in his arms and begins to kiss her with reckless abandon. As their lips meet, they both explore each other's tongue so passionately. It takes Samantha off-guard. She is completely surprised and asks, "Why did you do that?" Nicholas answers coyly, "I wanted to make sure the barriers were safe to cross." With that, he kisses her again, more deeply this time, and whispers in her ear, "Stay with me and I'll show you what I've wanted to do with you ever since we met." Samantha is so mesmerized by the recent events, at this point; she has become extremely aroused and wants to be with this man. However, she knows he's married and doesn't want to begin a relationship with someone who cannot return her affections. After what seems to be an eternity, she politely declines his offer. She explains, "As much as I want you, I need to go home, as my girlfriend, Marie, came with me to this party. It would be really rude to leave her."
While quite disappointed, Nicholas understands. Before he turns away, he says, "You turned me down this time, Samantha. But, there will come a time where you will not refuse me. I know what I felt when I kissed you, and I want that feeling to continue. So, here's something for you to think about." He then proceeds to kiss her for the final time. However, this time, it was slow, sensual and quite erotic. Samantha is so dazed that her legs feel like jelly, and, luckily, she was near her automobile. Otherwise, she would've fallen right on the street. He then proceeds to assist Samantha to her car and walks away.
Several months pass and Samantha often thinks about that warm August night. Although Samantha and Nicholas communicate via phone, they never have the opportunity to meet until New Year's Eve. Samantha decides to rent a hotel suite and throws a small, but intimate gathering, hoping that Nicholas will come by. Although she knows the risks of being with someone who is attached, she is immediately drawn to him and feels this is a perfect opportunity to continue the passion they both felt that warm, summer evening. So, she invites Nicholas. He immediately declines, saying he has prior commitments. Though disappointed, Samantha has the party and thoroughly enjoys herself until the wee hours of the morning.
After her guests leave around 3:00 a.m., Samantha hears a light rap on the door. "Who is it?" Samantha asks. "It's Nick, can I come in?" he said. Samantha's heart skips a beat, checks her appearance and opens the door. "Come in, and Happy New Year!" Nicholas enters and immediately smiles at Samantha's wardrobe (She has on a red, satin Nightshirt). Samantha is quite surprised by Nicholas' sudden change of mind and presents him with a belated Christmas gift. He immediately thanks her by giving her a slow and methodical kiss. She is spellbound and her inner essence is throbbing—waiting for Nicholas to make his next move, when he suddenly stops. He says, "Samantha, thank you so much for this gift, and I want you so much that I can taste your sweetness; but, if I continue to stay, I will leave my Wife, my Children, everything that I've worked so hard to achieve. I feel that you are a truly special person and I would never want to intentionally hurt you. So, I need to leave." With that, Nicholas leaves, leaving Samantha very confused.
Five months pass when she finds out Nicholas has accepted a promotion in another state. Knowing she must do something, Samantha immediately contacts him, asking to meet. Nicholas declines, saying, "Sam, it's a great opportunity for me and my family, and I must go." Samantha is very happy for him, but she knows there is a hidden reason for his sudden departure. She responds by saying, "Nick, I'm indeed quite proud of you and your recent accomplishments, but we both know the real reason why you were so willing to move. You want to get as far away from me as possible. Well, sweetie, you can run—but you can't hide. Sooner or later, your real feelings will come to the surface and only you will have to face them head on. And, when that happens, I'll be there."
It would be another year before Samantha would see Nicholas again. During this time, Samantha dates a young, ambitious Entrepreneur, Daniel. Daniel literally sweeps Samantha off her feet by treating her like a queen. And, she is happy. However, her heart, as well as her inner essence, aches for Nicholas' touch.
Well, her wishes were granted when she sees Nicholas at a conference. She is happy that he's doing well and he seems delighted to see her moving on. But, it was quite awkward when they first saw one another. He says, "Samantha, I heard you brought Daniel to the conference. I would like to meet him and I'm glad to see that you're doing okay." Samantha smiles saying, "Yes, Daniel is truly a remarkable man and we'll see what happens." After that, Samantha and Nicholas go their separate ways. Samantha thinks to herself, "I need to get on with my life and I want so much to let Nicholas know that I want him, but it's best to let sleeping dogs lie."
Well, things progress between Samantha and Daniel so well that he proposes to her the day before Thanksgiving. She is absolutely joyous and is excited that she'll soon be making wedding plans. On Thanksgiving, she receives a phone call—it's Nicholas. "Hello, Sam. How are you?" he says. Samantha...
