Copyrighted 1882-1888 by Beadle and Adams, entered at Post office NY, NY as second class matter March 15, 1899. Original tri-color cover. Rear wrapper has list of Deadwood Dick Library through #64. 29,[1] pages. Internal paper is browned. 2) Denver Doll's Partner, No 55, Vol V in the Deadwood Dick Library, New York M.J. Ives & Co., 1899. Later printing. Copyrighted 1883-1889 by Beadle and Adams, entered at Post Office NY,NY as second class matter March 15, 1899. Original tri-color cover. Rear wrapper has a list of Deadwood Dick Library through #64. 29, [1] pages. Internal paper is browned. Nice examples, in original stapled wraps. Both are approx 5 3/8 x 7 7/8 inches. Wraps. 1899 date and author from illustrated masthead but later (see below). 'The New York based publishing firm of M.J. Ivers and Company was best known for its production of cheap books including Beadle's Dime Dialogues, Dime Speakers, Dime Hand Books, Boy's Library, and Deadwood Dick Library. Following the dissolution of Beadle and Adams in 1898, James Sullivan, the owner of M.J. Ivers and Company, purchased the collections of Beadle Dime and Half Dime Novels. M.J. Ivers and Company continued to publish these titles as monthlies under the name of Beadle and Adams until 1905. . Eventually, the plates and stock of M.J. Ivers and Company were bought by the Arthur Westbrook Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, who continued to publish both the Deadwood Dick and Frontier Libraries until 1937.'
