Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis must juggle a skilled assassin, a ruthless criminal mastermind and the illegal liquor trade in this gripping international mystery—Breaking Bad, Greek-style!

Young Athenian assassin Kharon secretly arrives in Delphi, hoping to rebuild his life among its rolling hills and endless olive groves. But his dark past is too celebrated, and his assassin skills too in demand, for his fate to be left in his own hands.

He’s given no choice but to serve the ruthless aims of an international criminal mastermind—an underworld boss who is responsible for Greece’s torrent of counterfeit alcoholic beverages. Kharon is tasked with assassinating those who interfere with the illegal liquor trade, and his methods soon bring death to a member of one of Greece’s most prominent and feared political families.

Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis of Greece’s Special Crimes Division is drawn into the eye of a political and media firestorm. He and his team soon find themselves battling purveyors of life-threatening adulterated booze, struggling to bring a cold-blooded killer to justice, and laboring to outthink a political chess-master—all without turning themselves and their families into deadly targets.

With its gorgeous Greek locations, engaging characters, and fast-paced plotting, this critically acclaimed international crime series is an excellent pick for fans of DONNA LEON, LOUISE PENNY, MARTIN WALKER, and DAVID HEWSON. Find out why The New York Times named Jeffrey Siger as Greece’s thriller novelist of record today!

Jeffrey Siger is an American living on the Aegean Greek island of Mykonos. A former Wall Street lawyer, he gave up his career as a name partner in his own New York City law firm to write the international bestselling, award-recognized Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis series of mystery thrillers telling more than just a fast-paced story.

The New York Times described his novels as "thoughtful police procedurals set in picturesque but not untroubled Greek locales" and named him as Greece's thriller novelist of record. Athens Insider Magazine hails him as "a literary star," the Greek government selected him as the only American author writing novels serving as a guide to Greece, and Reader's Digest calls him "one of our new favorite authors."

Jeffrey Siger has also served as Chair of the National Board of Bouchercon, America's largest mystery convention, and as Adjunct Professor of English at Washington & Jefferson College, teaching mystery writing.
