After defeating the leader of the Hayes Alliance, General David Tardif knows his work is far from done. He must now free the other systems that were under the control of the mad woman, and make sure the leaderless systems have proper management so they can prosper and thrive. No sooner has he started this cleanup than the word comes that a SB ship is missing. Although it is not a major event in normal times, it seems there is proof the culprits might be the same enemy one of his ships encountered in the other dimension.

Although they need to prepare for the eventual arrival of this enemy, they have no clue in which form it will take, nor in the numbers that will show up. In thinking of ways to stop the Mechanized Darkness, they catch a break while Hailey is out on her own mission and are finally able to have the beginning of a plan of attack, or defense depending on where the enemy comes at them. But will the many factions be able to work together to save Humanity, or will greed and power-hungry politicians ruin the fate of them all?

Continue on David Tardif's journey as he faces robots, assassination attempts, long lost family members and the extreme beauty of his future wife in this action packed novel, which digs even deeper into the characters you've come to love.
