Mounted albumen photograph. Photographer's information "J. L. Gillette, Atlanta, Georgia" stamped on verso. No date but likely around 1898. Photograph measures 5" x 6 ¾"; mount measures 8" x 10". Mount has a pinhole on the bottom edge and moderate chipping to top corners. A 1 ½" piece has been cleanly cut away from the bottom left corner of the photograph. This photo was likely taken during the Spanish-American War and depicts a dining hall scene. It is possibly Christmas or another holiday as the hall is decorated with tree boughs. Chefs stand in the background and food is piled onto a few long tables towards the front of the photograph. An unusual shot from the Spanish-American War era. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 023531
