Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Alec Wilkinson is the author of eleven books, including The Ice Balloon, The Protest Singer, My Mentor, Mr. Apology, and The Happiest Man in the World. Since 1980 he has been a contributor to The New Yorker. Before that he was a policeman in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, and before that he was a rock and roll musician. He lives in New York City with his wife and son.
