It is the practice of a lifetime, the pathway to cultivating your own wisdom, and the pointer to your purpose in life.These poems, with rare exception, were all written in 2012 and 2013, mostly from moments in the world when the divine whispered in the clouds or in the moon or in the flight of a bird or in the dark of the night. Some whispers were faint and faltering, a hushed dialogue, interrupted and broken by silences that required a patient and attentive heart over time. Others came with an urgency that would not let up until the piece was complete. But all came with the feel of a door opening, a world beckoning, and an invitation to step beyond the unknown edge. In some cases, the door opened to the day and, in others, to the night. But in all cases, the door opened to life offering passageway to a deepening participation in the mystery of human experience in all its alarming reality and awesome beauty.The challenge, and the privilege, of the poet is to hear the whispers, to recognize the open door, and to find the courage, or the craziness, to step over the unknown edge. Poetry can lead you to the open door, but only you can step over that unknown edge into your life. May these poems awaken you to the divine in your life and help you hear it whispering in the secret language that synchronizes your soul and harmonizes your heart. The world needs the truth and beauty of each person and the wisdom you uncover will serve to lift all of humanity.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: People tell me that I have a "way with words" or a "gift" for poetry. Poetry, like so many of the creative arts, is a bridge between willful effort and intuitive access. There is a kernel of natural ability for me and I have enjoyed playing with words throughout my life but I have also honed my language skills and crafted my poetic expression for years. I have worked actively with the language of change for over 30 years in my career as a hypnotherapist and practitioner and trainer of Neuro-Lingusitic Programming (NLP). I have used and tested language patterns with clients and students and gradually developed skills that transferred directly into writing and speaking poetry. I have learned that the quality of your everyday experience, the horizon that you envision, and the results that you achieve in your life and career; with your family, with your company, or in your community; depend in large part on the language you use to describe the world and the stories you tell about it. The beauty of poetry is that it helps you to word the world in a way that brings you to life and life to you; it enlightens, inspires, and encourages; it expands vistas and opens possibilities. As a speaker, trainer, and consultant, I use these skills to help your team shift perspectives, create a shared vision, rise above difficulties, engage in genuine dialogue with each other, resolve conflicts, and negotiate change with greater purpose and more ease. As a transformational coach, I help you to navigate the terrain of change in a way that deepens your connection with your heart, aligns you with your core values, and brings your authentic self to the world. As a poet, I use poetry to widen your embrace for your own life, deepen your connection to your soul, and live the life you were meant to live.
