The rare first American edition, first printing in uncommon DJ. Book is tight. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Pages and endpapers are clean and bright; no writing within. Blue cloth panels are clean. Book's only flaw is shelf-rubbing along edges that has caused tiny loss of blue hue in a handful of spots. Tiny dent along upper panel edge. Uncommon DJ is present. Multiple shallow chips along DJ edges. DJ shows soiling; mostly to rear. DJ spine shows sun-dulling to blue and yellow hues.
