Inhaltsangabe
This volume, first published in 1808, is a compendium of formulas and theorems relating to interest, annuities, and insurance. The author intended it to furnish those engaged in finance with a comprehensive work that would quickly provide necessary information to resolve problems encountered in their profession. The subject of annuities, both immediate and deferred, is given ample treatment, and their values under different conditions are investigated methodically. The author takes pains to define the ideas and terms he uses, and includes detailed explanations and examples to illustrate his reasoning. This book will be of special interest to students of actuarial science, insurance mathematics, or the history of economic thought.
