Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Dr. Konin has worked in numerous high school, college, clinic, and professional environments. His experiences have included providing care at NASCAR and rodeo events; the Olympic Training Centers in Lake Placid, New York, and Colorado Springs, Colorado; professional baseball spring training; the American Basketball Association; professional baseball summer camps; and USA Quad Rugby, as well as serving on the track and field medical staff for the 1996 Atlanta Committee for Olympic Games.
Dr. Konin is and has been very involved in the athletic training profession. He has served as the Vice President and Newsletter Editor for the Delaware Athletic Trainers’ Association, and as a member of the Examining Board for Physical Therapy in the State of Delaware as the athletic training representative. He has also served as a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Clinical/Industrial/Corporate Athletic Trainers’ Committee and the Reimbursement Advisory Group. For a number of years, Dr. Konin served as NATA’s liaison to the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Konin has published numerous articles, textbook chapters, and textbooks in the areas of sports medicine, athletic training, and physical therapy. He has also served as an editorial board member and in an advisory capacity to many journals and organizations. He is a frequent speaker on similar topics at state, regional, and national meetings throughout the United States, and has also presented his work at conferences in Italy, Norway, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand.
John M. Kaltenborn, MS, ATC, CES is an associate athletic trainer and guest lecturer for the James Madison University (JMU) Department of Sports Medicine and the JMU Athletic Training Education Program in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He works directly with the JMU Men’s Basketball Program. He received his undergraduate degree in physical education from Salisbury University in Maryland in 1994 and his Master of Rehabilitation Sciences from Clarion University in Pennsylvania in 1996.
Mr. Kaltenborn has worked in a multitude of clinical settings as an athletic trainer. His experiences include clinic-high school outreach; Division I, II, and III athletics; professional football with the Buffalo Bills Football Club; and professional hockey with the AHL Bridgeport Soundtigers. During this time, he has been actively involved in the promotion and profession of athletic training. He has been an examiner and model for the NATA-BOC Certification Exam.
Margaret Frederick Thompson, EdD, ATC, VATL is the Coordinator of Clinical Education and an associate professor in the Athletic Training Education Program at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. She holds a BS degree in health science with a concentration in athletic training from James Madison University, where she also earned a Master of Science degree in kinesiology. Dr. Thompson received her Doctorate of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.
A certified athletic trainer for more than a dozen years, she has experience as a high school athletic trainer and as an educator at the undergraduate and master’s levels. Other professional roles include past president of the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association and current member of NATA’s Component Relations Project Team. She lives in Richmond, Virginia.

Wir können einen Abzug von der Rückerstattung für den Wertverlust der gelieferten Waren vornehmen, wenn der Verlust auf eine unnötige Behandlung durch Sie zurückzuführen ist.
