Second UK hardback edition. The novel was first published in the UK Michael Joseph in 1958. Originally published in the US by Doubleday in 1956. There is a little bumping to the bottom rear corner of the boards and some browning to the spine, particularly at the top and bottom. There is a little browning to the page edges with some dark spotting to the top edges. Original owner's name and address stamped to the top corner of the front free endpaper and also the title page and dedication page but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has a half-inch piece missing at the top of the spine and a one inch piece missing at the bottom of the spine which has quite a bit of browning and fading to the lettering. The rear panel has three small edge nicks and a little edge creasing and the front panel has a small tear and a little creasing to the bottom edge. There is also some chipping at the corners. Other overseas orders: shipping costs are based on books weighing 800g. I will generally use whatever method is covered by the standard postage charge but if you specifically wish to have it sent surface or airmail or anything else please ask and I will amend the charge accordingly. Please only choose the cheaper surface mail option if you do not mind waiting - the suggested upper time limit for this form of delivery is 60 days and it can take that long - and sometimes a bit longer. If therefore you wish to receive the book in 2-3 weeks then please opt for the more expensive postage option which will guarantee airmail delivery.
