1906. First (unauthorised) American edition. 120 and 60pp. This volume contains two of Oscar Wilde's most famous plays - The Duchess of Padua and Salome. The book is bound in the original black cloth covered boards with a paper title label on the spine and front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling on the boards. There is some wear to the cloth on the corner tips and the spine ends are bumped with a little damage to the cloth on the bottom corners of the spine. The contents are tight and clean with some light soiling on the endpapers and the bookplate of Giles Alexander Esmé Gordon (1940-2003), a Scottish literary agent, writer, bibliophile and Wilde collector.
