Period 1/2 leather bindings, smooth spines, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting black leather labels, marbled covers. Bindings remain clean, tight, and sound. Text blocks well uniformly age browned with scattered spotting, never offensive. Set remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. Leather remains supple. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
