Black leatherette with gilt (faded) lettering and illustration on cover. 279 pages. 11 by 8½ inches. Heavily illustrated in black and white, art and photos, one color-illustrated leaf. One of the many consultants for this was Barry Goldwater. SIGNED BY AUTHOR, in the tiniest possible writing, on front free endpaper, way down in the corner. Modest sort! Signature is dated May 11, 1941. Textual pages show some age-darkening to margins. Clean and tight. The gilt is quite worn on the covers, otherwise they are very good, clean, tight and unworn.
