124 Pages. Very minor wear to cover edges and corners. This is a joint U.S.- India wildlife study performed February 1995 to January 2000. It involved US Fish and Wildlife Service and Wildlife Conservation Society of New York working with Centre for Wildlife Studies of Bangalore. Tigers have become an important flagship species for biodiversity and wildlife conservation in India over the past 30 years. However tigers are considered highly endangered and have been targeted for a major recovery effort by the Indian government and and convervation agencies. This study was conducted to gather baseline ecological data on tigers and their prey species. This study is illustrated with 150 2 X 3 color photographs of species obtained by camera-trap surveys and 10 color maps.
