A rare original Chinese Cultural Revolution propaganda poster. Published in September 1970. Numbered 3-156 (2) 11. Designed by 2 committees: RevolutionCommittee of Shanghai Zameng No 1 Factory and Revolution Committee of Shanghai City Siping Road No 2 Primary School. It depicts a worker repairing a rice bag . Text: "Save and use every brick and every tile, every needle and thread, for the people." The banner proclaims: " Use all your strength,try your best to strive for the top and build socialism in a just and good manner." Condition: very good with fold marks and several small holes from insect damage. These could easily be masked prior to framing.Three strips of fine archival tape on back.
