Uncolored engraved portrait of a relatively young Edward Jenner sitting in front of a bookcase. Age-toned, otherwise very good. This appears to be a proof of this print as it does not include Jenner's name or two lines of text which appear on the finished print. The image from the Wellcome Collection 4758i indicates that the print was published by Ackermann & Co., though their imprint does not appear on this proof. This engraving was by William Skelton after a portrait "Begun by the late William Sharp", apparently after a drawing by William Hobday.
