Whether we want to believe we are engaged in a spiritual battle or not, doesn’t change its reality and outcome. We know Jesus came to offer salvation to us so that we can be reconciled back to God and make Heaven our home. It is true that God is a God of love and peace, and that He desires and shows mercy. It is also true that God is a God of wrath and judgment, that since the beginning He has purposed to punish evil and the wicked; because He is holy.

Too often we get a mixed message and it is either one or the other. Not enough people are receiving a balanced message of who God is and what He stands for – taking the entirety of the Bible into context. We have an adversary that accuses us before God day and night, one who uses spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places to attack, oppress and bind us so that we cannot freely fulfill the purpose that God has for our lives.

What I hope to convey through this book is the knowledge and understanding of who Lucifer was before he fell from Heaven, and the reason he was found guilty of sin, and why he was cast out of Heaven with one-third of the angels. I want to establish the differences (either in origin or function) between fallen angels, the Watchers from Genesis 6, demons, evil spirits, and ghosts; explaining what their function and purposes are and why we are engaged in a war against them. Lastly, I want to provide the reader with information they can research themselves and come to their conclusions in prayer. I encourage you to pray and invite the Holy Spirit with you as you read, and ask for His truth to be made known to you as you study.
