Containing the artworks of John Constable, John Russell, Thomas Gainsborough, William Hamilton, John Raphael Smith and Gainsborough Dupont, amongst numerous others.Written by Robert Rene Meyer-See, a French art critic and dealer. He wrote for journals includingAmerican Art News,The Connoisseur,Gazette des Beaux ArtsandGil Blas.Meyer-See also ran the Marlborough Gallery and was one of the organisers of the exhibitions of Futurist painting at the Sackville Gallery in 1912.A limited edition, with seven hundred and fifty copies were produced, this being No. 42.With sixty-one plates, including nineteen in colour. Collated, complete.A lovely limited edition of English artwork in pastel. In a full paper vellum binding. Externally generally smart, with some wear to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
