Small engraving. 8 1/4" x 4 3/4". Engraving by Ridley Holl & Blood from an original painting by Romney. Lightly foxed and slightly toned at the edges, very good or better. Reed was an editor of Shakespearean works. He collected valuable books for his personal library and after his death the sale of his library took thirty-nine days. 8,957 lots were sold, some of which were bought by the British Museum.
