Original blue cloth with gilt-bordered illustration on the front cover and with the rear cover stamped with the prospective book's gilt-decorated spine. Spine samples for the publisher's deluxe bindings of red morocco and brown library-style leather are affixed to the front pastedown. There is offsetting from the leather spine samples and foxing to the tissue guard for the photographic frontispiece, else this is a Very Good copy. Of the thirty-two blank ruled pages at the end, only the first has any writing, with eight penciled orders from subscribers in Waterford, Vermont and Littleton, New Hampshire.
