Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping language education, introducing new possibilities for personalization, efficiency, and innovative forms of teaching and learning. At the same time, its growing adoption raises urgent questions of equity, equality, and justice. While AI-assisted tools can expand access to language learning resources and adaptive instruction, they also risk reinforcing existing inequalities by privileging dominant languages, cultural norms, and data-rich educational contexts. Learners from underrepresented linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds may face new forms of marginalization if AI systems are developed without inclusive perspectives. Addressing these challenges requires critical engagement with the ethical, social, and pedagogical implications of AI in language education. An equity-oriented approach is therefore essential to ensure that emerging AI technologies support inclusive, culturally responsive, and socially just language learning environments. Equity, Equality, and Justice in AI-Enhanced Language Education critically examines the intersection of AI and social justice in foreign language education, exploring how equity-oriented perspectives can inform the design, use, and evaluation of AI-enhanced pedagogies. This book addresses key questions surrounding who benefits from AI-driven innovations, how issues of bias, accessibility, and representation shape learners' opportunities and experiences, and what ethical frameworks can guide the equitable development and implementation of AI across diverse educational contexts. Covering topics such as algorithmic bias, fair learning ecosystems, and linguistic discrimination, this book is an excellent academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, language educators, teacher trainers, curriculum developers, coursebook authors, and more.
