From the collection of Sylvain Van de Weyer (1802-1874) , Belgian politician and briefly prime minister of Belgium; his engraved armorial bookplate is affixed to front pastedown. Publisher's blindstamped brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Front board is heavily dampstained and spotted, with cloth bubbling and somewhat discolored; much more minor dampstaining to rear board. Luckily the pages themselves are free of water damage. Minor edgewear with small chips and slight fraying at lightly bumped spine ends and corners. Binding sound, text clean. Interior lightly toned, with scattered light soil from handling.
