Evan's New Album of Barmouth & Neighbourhood. A collection of 35 black and white images and one drawing spanning 12 pages plus title page and, at the back, an advertisement for a stationer, bookseller, grocer, purveyor of artist's materials and maps in Barmouth. No author (there is no text) or publisher is credited, though the photographs are credited to The Photochrom Co., Ltd., London. No date is given - possibly 1890's. The photographs are of Cwmbychan Lake, Harlech Castle, Aberglaslyn Pass, Festiniog Narrow Gauge Railway, Torrent Walk in Dolgelley, Pistyll-y-caen Waterfall, Barmouth Estuary, LLanaber Church, Min For, and Dolgelley and Cader Idris amongst others. Quite a few are of Barmouth itself. Hardcover. Landscape format. Size: 12 x 8 3/4 inches.|The red cloth boards are embossed with gilt lettering. Condition: The cover is a little worn and darkened at the edges. There is loss to the top left corner. The stitching holding the pages in place is a little loose.
