Inhaltsangabe: Larry Mattingly lives in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, with his wife, Patti, where they own and operate Mountain Laurel Lake Resort. In Eva?s Son he shares the story of his life from the hollers of Union Star to the dicey world of politics. Cleaved from his family at age five, Larry lived in an orphanage and later the famed Boys? Haven on the road to an unforgettable life, but every minute of that life he was still Eva?s Son.
Über den Autor: Larry Mattingly grew up in a Kentucky orphanage after his family was torn apart. After a stint in the Navy which included participation in the Cuban Missile Crisis, he returned to Louisville. He started his own construction business and also ventured into the cagey world of politics. As Director of Public Works in the Harvey Sloane administration, Larry came face to face with a brewing scandal that threatened to sit Louisville on its ear. Knowing that his only option was to blow the whistle, he did. In the aftermath of learning how political power can turn against him, Larry and his family returned to Breckinridge County -- his home as a child. He and his wife, Patti, now own and operate Mountain Laurel Lake Resort.
