Coloured frontispiece and 6 superb colour plates of young children (as required). Line illustration to title page. Corners very slightly worn, tail of spine also and very lightly faded, a little very faint staining to 2 text pages, 25 mm (1") closed tear to lower margin of 1 plate not near image or caption, repaired neatly, pale foxing to endpapers, contents otherwise bright and clean. A very good plus copy in good DUSTWRAPPER, upper panel repeats upper board, (dw: no price printed on flaps, piece missing at top edge of upper panel, 100 x 45 mm deep (4½" x 2"), title intact, 35 mm (1¼") chip at lower corner of upper panel, other small chips (max 20 mm (¾") and short closed tears, 100 mm (4½") closed tear on lower panel with slight creasing, lettering and vignette intact on spine - see image). Large format reprint with cloth spine and paper covered boards with coloured onlay, 164 pages. 7 full-page colour plates by this talented artist. Short inscription dated 1927. There is some minor rubbing to the corners and a small bump at the top side of the front board but this book is in really nice condition with no splitting or tears and is tightly bound with unusually clean pages.
