Textured red cloth, lettered in black. Frontis, facsimile and plates by 'Cleanthe'. Neat ownership inscription on free endsheet, otherwise very good or slightly better in lightly nicked and edgeworn pictorial dust jacket with some sunning to the spine and a few scuffs along the lower spine fold. First edition of the Kingfish's posthumously published fictionalized projection of events after his imagined victory in the Presidential race of 1936. Former Governor, then Senator Long was assassinated on September 10th, the same month that saw publication of this work. A brief and likely hastily composed Foreword serves as a justification of its posthumous publication.
