Color pictorial paper covered boards with a short 3/4" split to the base of the spine and a split to the paper covering the hinge at the head of the back cover for what otherwise is a bright, clean, unworn copy of the book. Original publisher's color pictorial paper covered two-part cardboard box with light overall soiling, a few slight touches of wear and one split corner on the box top for what is a lovely example of the box. Pictorial endpapers printed in light orange. Gift inscription dated "Dec. 25. 1918." on half-title page. [92] pp. The book is a collection of eighty-four flower-themed poems; each poem is illustrated by Ross with a cute, half-page full color anthropomorphic drawing of that flower.
